Meet Andrius!

First things first! Let’s hear more about the person who is behind those magical photos.

Andrius, it is a pleasure having you here with us! To begin with, could you please introduce yourself?

I am Andrius Aleksandravičius and I live in Kaunas, Lithuania. In 2011 I started working as a press photographer, therefore I have participated in almost every official city event and in this way I had a chance to watch how quickly my city is changing.

Now I am a freelance photographer and, in addition to this, I constantly work on my two personal projects. First one is Project 365 – 365 days of the year, 365 photos. It has been 8 years since I started posting a photo every single day and the sights of Kaunas takes the major part here.

The second one is my Glass Ball Project where, again, Kaunas has the leading role.

Could you briefly introduce what place Kaunas takes in your life?

Though originally I am not from Kaunas, my mother’s birthplace is a nearby town, so I always had a close connection with this city. Anyway, I can hardly remember it from my childhood. My history in Kaunas started in 2006, when I came here to study. Now I don’t even remember when I started to call myself a true resident of Kaunas, but I surely don’t imagine a better city to live in.
